Did you know you could earn hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars per day renting your property as a film or photography location?

Reno Tahoe Locations is on the hunt for all kinds of locations: homes, businesses, and more. There's no such thing as a "bad location": we never know what the next project will need.  One shoot may require a super modern home, and the next may need a mechanic's garage.  One of our favorite locations ever was the boiler room of a casino!

If you're interested in listing your property with Reno Tahoe Locations, simply fill out the form below and click submit. One of our scouts will contact you to set up an informal photo session for your location (zero cost to you). Once we compile photos of your home or business, we classify them within our library and show them to directors or photographers looking for a particular type of location.  We never publish these photos for the general public to view, and only share your address if the property is shortlisted for a project.

What happens next?

If a director or photographer likes your property for a project, Reno Tahoe Locations will contact you to discuss the details and parameters of the shoot.  We'll tell you the budget for the shoot, how long they require the property, how many people they'll have on site, which areas of the property will be used, etc.  During this part of the process, the production will be considering several possible properties.  Reno Tahoe Locations may need to visit your home for additional photos or a "director scout" before making a final decision.

Registering your home or business with us does not obligate you in any way for a shoot. You may choose which projects interest you or work best for your property.

What happens if my property is selected?

If the company decides to use your property and you agree, Reno Tahoe Locations will bill the production company and pay you for the job (you receive payment within the first two hours of the shoot day). Our commission is added on top of your rate, and production pays that.

The next step is a "tech scout". This usually occurs a day or two before the shoot. The company comes to your house and walks through each step of the shoot with the key personnel. A Reno Tahoe Locations representative will attend this part of the process and then prepare an email which outlines the details discussed during the tech scout.

How am I protected from damage and liability?

Before the production enters your home, Reno Tahoe Locations requires a certificate of liability insurance (industry standard is 1-2 million dollars of coverage per incident) listing yourself and your property as additional insured.

On occasion, productions will need to make alterations to a location: swapping out furniture, changing a wall color, changing a light fixture, etc.  Our contract strictly requires that your property is returned to its original condition.  Should you decide you like a change the production company has made, we'll ask you to sign a release freeing the company from further restoration responsibility.
